About Me | Stevens Counseling Services

Hi, I’m Sean.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Stevens Counseling Services.
My work centers on providing support, perspective, and growth for people who are navigating life’s challenges and transitions. Sometimes life feels overwhelming, and having a space to slow down, reflect, and gain clarity can make all the difference.
I believe that, at our core, we all share the same fundamental needs — to feel loved, valued, accepted, and understood.
Our stories and experiences are unique, but the journey of being human — moving through life’s highs, lows, and everything in between — is what connects us all.
My Philosophy
We all share similar needs, but each person’s path to fulfillment is uniquely their own.
My goal as a therapist is to help you identify what truly matters to you — what brings meaning, purpose, and satisfaction to your life — and to support you as you move toward it.
I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I tailor therapy to your individual goals, values, and circumstances. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to create meaningful change in a way that feels authentic to you.

Outside the Office
I’m a proud Colorado native, husband, and dad. My wife and I have two amazing kids who continue to teach me more about patience, perspective, and the meaning of life than any classroom ever could. Most weekends, you’ll find me cheering from the sidelines at my kids’ sporting events — a reminder that the best lessons often happen through play, teamwork, and perseverance.
Outside of therapy, I’m passionate about creating world-class BBQ — because good food has a special way of bringing people together.
I’ve trained in Muay Thai since 2011, and took up Mountain Biking in 2022. Both are practices that continually teach me humility, discipline, and the value of persevering through adversity.
